MTN-xtraspecial-pretpaid-plan

The mobile telecommunications network (MTN) is the only Telecommunications company with the largest customer base in Nigeria, MTN is known for her series of Telecom services, Value Added Services (VAS), cheap and Affordable Tariff plans, mouth watering bonuses (both On-net and Off-Net call bonus), as well as data bonuses.

Today on this piece, we are going to talk about MTN XtraSpecial Prepaid plan. I’m sure at the end of this article, you would understand what this Tariff plan is all about, what you stand to benefit from its package, the call rates and charges and also how you can migrate to this Tariff plan.

I urge you to take your time and go through this piece at your own pace.

What is Mtn XtraSpecial Prepaid Plan

MTN have a lot of Prepaid Tariff plans that you can possibly choose from, but this MTN XtraSpecial is one tariff plan that i would recommend for a whole lot of people. Unlike the MTN BizPlus that attracts a daily access fee of N5, the MTN XtraSpecial offers flat rate of 15kobo per second.

Take for instance you’re in a mix up with no means of topping up airtime and you need to make an urgent call, even if it means just saying “Hello, Please call me back”. But your main account balance is not up to the daily access fee of MTN BizPlus and you cannot used the amount to send SMS as well, you can imagine how frustrating that would be.

But on MTN XtraSpecial, you needn’t bother about daily access fee as the plan does not require one, even with N3 on your main balance, you can connect and tell the other person at the receiving end to give you a call back immediately.

MTN XtraSpecial Prepaid Plan is another tariff plan by MTN that allows customers to enjoy a FLAT rate of 15 kobo per second (which is equivalent to N9 per minute of call) for MTN-to-MTN calls, MTN-to-Other Networks in Nigeria and also to 18 selected international destinations from the very first second of your call in a day.

This 18 International destinations are listed below:

  • Canada
  • China
  • Germany
  • India
  • Ireland
  • Malaysia
  • South Africa
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • Sweden
  • South Korea
  • Israel
  • Hong Kong
  • Romania
  • Denmark
  • Cyprus
  • Malta
  • Luxembourg

This MTN XtraSpecial Prepaid tariff plan does not attract any daily or monthly subscription or access fee. Though it is a little bit expensive compared to the likes of MTN BizPlus where you have to be charged a daily access fee of N5 before you can make calls at the rate of 11kobo per second and also the MTN Pulse where you have to spend a daily fee of N12.50 before you can start enjoying the 11kobo per second rate, but it is more preferable than most of the MTN Tariff Plans in Nigeria.

Unlike the MTN XtraPro Tariff plan, the MTN XtraSpecial Tariff plan allows you to make calls at 15k/Sec (N9/Min) on a flat rate basis to all networks in Nigeria without any daily access fee with an additional benefit of 7 days free subscription to EPL Video Service.
